The HAT brings 10BASE-T1S Ethernet to a Raspberry Pi using the onsemi T30HM1TS2500 MAC-PHY. The published design includes an SPI host interface, PLCA support and selectable bus termination.
Review scope
The review covered the T30HM1TS2500 supply, decoupling and 25 MHz clock; SPI, IRQ and Raspberry Pi GPIO; 10BASE-T1S coupling, common-mode choke and ESD protection; selectable 100 Ω split termination; connector layout; and EMC considerations. Software, Linux Device Tree integration and enclosure design were outside its scope.
Archived review questions
